Quiet lane toward a Kyoto pagoda at dawn

Not “I was in Kyoto.”
“This was my Kyoto.”

From quiet mornings by the Kamo River to the scent of matcha drifting through a side street — make your Kyoto something you can take home.

About Us

FROM KYO TO YOU

Kyoto is more than a place you visit.
It is the quiet morning by the Kamo River,
the smell of matcha drifting through a small street,
the colors of vegetables at a local market,
the sound of footsteps beneath the bamboo trees.

Some moments are planned.
Others simply happen.

At Kyoto Shoten, we turn those little moments into something you can take with you.

Because a souvenir doesn't have to say
“I was in Kyoto.”
It can say,
“This was my Kyoto.”

We work in two ways.

Print — pick from 50+ original Kyoto illustrations and we DTG-print it on the spot, no minimums, no reservation needed. Walk in anytime.

Studio — sit down with a local instructor and hand-make something — a painting, a craft — that becomes a keepsake too. Reservation required.

★★★★★

"I almost skipped this thinking it'd just be another 'make your own craft' tourist trap, but the tote bag turned out way better than I expected — like something you'd actually buy in a boutique."

— Bokyung, South Korea
★★★★★

"This felt less like a class and more like spending an afternoon with a local... I came in nervous about not being 'artistic' and left feeling like I'd just made a friend who happened to teach me something beautiful."

— Chris, Vietnam
